Hey everybody, We survived week 1 of social distancing! I hope everyone is well-rested and enjoying time with their families. Today's activity of the day is "I spy with my little eye". Parent's if your student is working on a specific sound, you can tell them that the item they spy for must have that sound in it. For example, if their sound is /s/ they could spy the /sun/ /books/ etc. This is a great language activity as your child has to give clues for you to try and guess what they are spying. They can describe by features (size, shape, parts, feel, etc.), function (what we use it for), and class (the category it belongs in). If you have a student working with an AAC device you could pick the item, and walk them through describing it. For example "sun" you could say what color, and where is it found, etc. You can also have them tell you when it is their turn in the game.
Happy Spying!
Miss Webber
